The weather in Las Vegas

The Las Vegas Valley lies in a relatively high-altitude portion of the Mojave Desert, and this can result in drastic changes of temperature between seasons, and even between day and night. The Valley generally averages less than five inches of rain annually. Daily daytime summer temperatures in July and August typically exceed 100 °F . Winter is short in the Las Vegas Valley and temperatures are mild, with daytime highs near 60 degrees and nighttime lows of about 40 degrees. Snow accumulation on the valley floor itself is rare, but mountains surrounding the area may be snow-covered during winter season. The Sun shines about 294 days a year!

The Hotel had a slow start and when the mafia was afraid that Bugsy had oversold the project they took care of business themselves and Bugsy Siegel was assassinated at his girlfriends Beverly Hills home.

Besides show, food and gambling, Flamingo Hotel is also home to 15 acres of gardens filled with exotic birds, swans, penguins enjoys them surrounded by waterfalls and jungle plants.

Circus-Circus dates back to 1968 and is created by Jay Sarno who many have credited as being the father of today’s more family orientated Las Vegas.

In those days most lending institutions wanted nothing to do with Entrepreneurs from notorious Sin City – and Circus-Circus is among other hotels financed with Teamster money in a close co-operation with legendary Jimmy Hoffa who like many others had seen the potential investing money in Las Vegas.
